hi all, writing to let you know how the progress on the flying louks
brothers debut cd is coming! Dave has "layed down sum phat trax"
on the keyboard along with a vocals for a few songs. Brian has done some
guitar work on two songs. in the bass department, i did 4 tracks
yesterday. Tonight Andrew, Dave and I are doing somemore work. Monday
Kyle and Dave will be doing drums. I cant even begin to describe how
happy i am with how its going!
Right now the possible tracks are Four Seasons Digital Express Got No Time Slowly The Music Intermidiate Breaking Seams and four untitled songs there are also a few other fun things that might make it onto the cd, but i cant talk about them now! Look for the album to be done in May, and a cd release party to follow! I'll keep you all posted with periodic updates.

thanks to the ryan butler, the wonderful bass playa from awkward
silence, we had some more mics to do drum tracks today. kyle did tracks
for digital express, four seasons, the music and breaking seams. i also
recorded the bass for intermediator. following the studio work dave,
ryan, brian and i went to ryans for grilling and scrabble and caffine.
it ended with victory- for me. i will update yall on how krauts guitar
work goes tomorrow, and, god willing, another game of scrabble.

andrew pulled out some very dreamy guitar "licks" for The Music today. This song is turning out to be quite an epic, over 8 minutes long! We took a break after that and dave, ryan (stuido hand), kraut and i played scrabble. unlike yesterdays game, thier was no wager. but, like yesterdays game i was victorious. right now andrew is with a highly caffinated david louks and recording guitar stuff again. tomorrow kyle is recording somemore drum tracks and possibly whitey may be doing some guitar also. me and kraut are going to see Godspeed You Black Emperor! at first ave- probably not gonna do any work. i will update yall again tomorrow.
Thu Mar 20 19:11:16 2003
today i re-recorded bass for the music, i think it sounds a lot better than before. also, background vocals were added by one ann louks, it sounds really nice. i also recorded some of a song which for now will be known as "chief halla-back" brian and kraut are at the zwan concert tonight, so they will be doing no work. bums.
Thu Mar 27 19:01:27 2003
We did the acoustic guitar on Breaking Seems today. Yesterday dave did acoustic part for The Music. Those two songs should be done very soon, all they need is vocals, solos and mixing.
Sat Apr 5 22:48:45 2003
we got a couple of rough mixes done today...they are pretty slick! i think yall, or at least a few of you, will like em! still shooting for a may release david is talking now: now it is arpil 18th and we have come a ways on some songs, such as slowly which has an excellent start, kraut worked on something, and found out he had active pickups on his guitar, which make for a pretty sound. oh yeah, i think he worked on intermeadiator, I has also started recording a kickin new song called something along the lines of "8/13th of a week" sadly our unmotivation (apparently that isn't a word) has put us rather far behind schedule.
CD UPDATE - ALL THE INFO YOU COULD EVER
WANT
We have been working like mad on the cd. It looks
like it will be 10-12 tracks. We are almost done with everything but
the drums. We will be recording them somewhere outside of davids
basement and are pricing places as we speak. We're looking at getting
a small quantity of them pressed, and will have some sort of release
bash when we are done.
